Memorial Day

Today was a very busy/full day, but also very fun. We started out with our ward breakfast at the church at 8 a.m. that Rian and I both helped out with. After that it was off to Royal City to Uncle Jerry's for the annual Allred family Memorial Day breakfast/brunch with all the aunts, uncles and cousins in the area. This was also the first time that most of the Allred's got to see Isabelle. It was lots of fun visiting and the food was great as usual. (Loved the omelets Jerry and Derek!)
Before leaving Royal we stopped at the cemetary to see Rian's grandparents' grave. There was already a flag there, but Isaac wanted to add his own little one. (Ian and Isabelle fell asleep in the car.) Next, it was off to Rian's parent's house. We got to relax and join in their backyard picnic with 'Dad's' office staff. Of course Isaac and Ian's favorite activity was making lakes, rivers and volcanoes in the sand box. We finally made it home around 8:00 p.m. - just in time to bathe the kids and put them into bed. Besides visiting with family and friends, the best part of today was that I didn't have to cook or fix and food!

Sounds like a busy but fun day.

Wow, you had a busy day! That is fun that you are able to do fun things with so much of Rian's family. McKay had to work, so the kids and I just bummed around the house all day. Relaxing, but uneventful.
