Children's Hospital

Isaac had his yearly check-up with the urologist at Children's hospital in Seattle today. We had to leave our house at 6:30 in the morning in order to make it in time to check-in for his first appointment. First, he had an ultrasound of his kidneys and bladder, which he did great for. (I think it felt like a little massage because he was so relaxed.) Then, they took us straight to Isaac's next test that he, myself, and Rian were not looking forward to. Despite being scared and uncomfortable, Isaac got through it and did a great job! I am so glad that Rian's mom was able to come with us to watch Ian and Isabelle so that Rian and I could stay with Isaac the whole time. Isaac's last appointment was meeting with the urologist and then having his blood work done. Finally, after a long day of visiting with doctor's, having test done and doing blood work, Isaac finally got to go play, which is all he wanted to do after he was done. You should have seen Isaac's excitement when he saw the playground at the hospital - he was in paradise! Since the whole day was spent doing things that weren't all that much fun for Isaac it was nice for him and Ian to be able to just go play and do something that they WANTED to do. They had so much fun running around and 'driving' cars that we hated to have to leave. As a reward for doing so well, we took Isaac to get one of his favorite things to eat for dinner, fish and chips.
As you can see, Rian joined in on the fun, too. Before we left Seattle to head back home, we stopped by Brent's new apartment. Rian and Isaac enjoyed checking out his moped.
